YAYA TOURE , is Africa's Best footballer for the fourth time!



For the fourth consecutive year, the Ivorian midfielder Gnégnéri Yaya Touré has won the award for ‘African Footballer of the Year’ at the 2014 edition of the prestigious GLO-CAF Awards. The Ivorian won the coveted prize which held at a prestigious event on Thursday, January 8, 2014 in Lagos Nigeria., after polling 175 votes, Gabon’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang came second with 120 votes, while Nigeria's Enyeama got 105.


On winning the award, the Manchester City FC midfielder expressed himself as being very happy and went on to commend Enyeama and Aubemayang. Touré, 31, has now matched Cameroonian striker, Samuel Etoó’s record who has also won the award four times (2003, 2004, 2005, 2010 ).
